Baked Apples or Pears Slice a pear or apple in half. Use a grapefruit spoon to scoop out the seeds and the tough, center portion. Place halves, skin side down, in a glass baking dish. Brush with ½ teaspoon pure maple syrup and sprinkle with cinnamon. Microwave for 10 minutes or until tender. Serve warm. Also, I have questions about what to feed your kids while you fast. I think it is awesome that many of you are fasting as a family. One thing that I like to do is make double portions of recipes. That way, what we don't eat for dinner, we have for lunch the next day that kids can take to school with them. The blog is entitled ""Just for Kids" Also, just keep lots of fruit and vegetables around. If you aren't doing the Daniel's Fast as a family, your kids can still fast and pray. Some suggestions would be fasting computer, video games, television...and replacing that time with spending time talking and praying together as a family.
