Countdown to Chick Night

Chick Night is only two days away and it is going to be an incredible night for all ladies ages 6th grade and up. I am so proud of Martha and her team. They have put so much work into this night and I'm believing that lives will be changed. As I'm praying for this night, my prayer is that this Chick Night would be our most powerful one yet. It's going to be packed full of passionate worship, giveaways and Martha has a message burning on her heart to share. Be praying about who you will invite and come with an expectant heart. Remember, this night is not just for C3 Chicks, it is for ladies from all over. Check out this video for a sneak peek of what Chick NIght is all about.

FIRST WEDNESDAY

As I’m preparing for First Wednesday, I just had to take a minute and tell you that I can’t wait to share the message that God has laid on my heart. This past weekend so many made decisions to follow Christ and tonight we get to celebrate with some of them as they follow in believers’ baptism. That’s what it is all about, seeing those that had no hope finding hope in Jesus and beginning their journey in a love relationship with Him.  I continue to pray Ephesians 3:20, “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,” for each of you. First Wednesday is going to be incredible and I look forward to seeing you all there. God Bless and love you guys.

Do You Have a Friend?

As we are approaching Friend Weekend I am praying about my Top 10 list of friends that I will invite. I am sure if we all looked around our neighborhoods, workplaces, and even in our families,  we could think of people that need to hear the good news of Jesus Christ. We've made it really simple for you to invite your friends and will provide stationary for you this weekend, including a sample letter, to give to those you would like to invite.  John 15:15 “Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.” God calls us to reach the ends of the earth with his life-changing message but He also wants us to walk across the street, go to the office beside ours, talk to our teachers and invite those that we are directly connected with to church. You never know how one small invitation can change a person’s life and eternal destiny.

This year we will have a little different flow by adding a Tailgate Party. I hear we're having some games set up and of course some red hot dogs. Get here early and don't forget to wear your favorite team jersey. It's going to be a great time of fun, fellowship and life-change. 

If you didn't get your Top 10 list you can grab one this weekend so you can add your names and be praying over who you will invite. Also, get your stationary and get them in the mail or hand them out. My prayer is that this Friend Weekend will be our best one yet.

GOING FOR IT

This weekend I am fired up as we launch a brand new series called UPRISING.  We are going to take a journey through the book of Ephesians over the next couple of months. I am speaking on the weekends and connect groups are meeting all over the area to study further and apply it to our lives.  I heard someone say “information without application is an abomination”.  BUT “information with inspiration and application leads to an acceleration!”  I am praying that God will use this series in our lives and families to rise up to a new level.  To kick off the series I plan on speaking LIVE at both campuses for ALL services. Saturday night 6pm in Clayton, Sunday 9:30 in Clayton, 10:30 Raleigh (North Raleigh Christian Academy) and 11:30 in Clayton. It’s a 25 mile drive between campuses so I will need lots of prayer and favor. Spread the word and let’s pray that this will be the most powerful fall we’ve ever had.  See you this weekend!

We are less than 24 hours away from Accelerate 2009.  It’s not too late to register.. ACCELERATE 09 - One Week Away

We are one week away from this year's Accelerate Conference. I am excited to have Pastor Rick Bezet from New Life Church in Conway, Arkansas here as our Guest Speaker. Rick and his wife Michelle are great friends of Martha and I. Rick is a huge LSU fan, but despite that, we are still fired up to have him.

It's a New Thing

Isaiah 43:19, “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.”(NIV)

Sunday night I had the privilege of speaking to new families at C3 Church Raleigh for Discovery 101 currently meeting at the North Raleigh Christian Academy Sundays at 10:30am. This is the first Discovery since relocating from North Hills and it was a blast. I shared with them the vision of C3 and how Martha and I came to North Carolina 11 years ago with a vision to reach those who are hurting and are not connected to a church family. Speaking to them reminded me of the first Discovery we had 11 years ago in a home in the Clayton area.  It was fun to see their excitement and passion to get involved in what God is doing. Here’s what a few of them shared on their Facebook after Discovery.

Michael, “Today I feel alive again. I just joined a church that ROCKS! And the music rocks too, but more than that the SPIRIT I feel is simply awesome.”

C3 Church Raleigh launched March 29 of this year and God has already blessed us by reaching many families for Christ.  C3 stands for Connecting Communities to Christ and that’s what our vision is for C3 Church.... One Church with Two Locations.  To connect those who don’t know Jesus to a relationship with Christ and to a church family so that they can reach their full potential. Sounds of Liberty

We are gearing up for an exciting fall at C3 and have lots of things happening in the coming months that I'm fired up about.  This weekend Sounds of Liberty from Liberty University will be in concert at all three services in Clayton.  

As most of you know, I am a graduate from Liberty University and worked on staff at Thomas Road Baptist Church with Dr. Jerry Falwell, so it is an honor to host Sounds of Liberty here.  

We will be concluding our RETHINK series and it is the last weekend of our C3 EXPO.  It's not too late to get signed up and plugged into a Ministry Team.
